Album Review: Jacko Poli – No Chords For No Noise

Silky, smooth, sleek and airy, Jacko Poli has written a really great summer record here. You can file this Leeds based musicians debut release with The xx and compare it with the latest release from The Horrors, but it oozes originality and professionalism. Lyrically the album takes you on a journey into the heart of the artist, the album pours emotion without you ever having to move from a laid back frame of mind. This is down to the sheer power of the chilled out, yet ever groovy melody. However, this is more than just your run-of-the-mill ten track indie pop effort; album opener ‘Let’s Get Lost’ provides those with a thirst for something a little more heavier with a powerful quench. Certainly one of the things you will notice is how astute Jacko Poli sounds, this is a very solid debut effort.

The album is available on iTunes right now, and we guarantee that you’ll love it!

The View From The Music is – 8/10 – Exuberant yet melodic, atmospheric yet airy, this album is hard to categorise and stands tall in it’s own right.
